Some of our work in Queensland

Gateway Motorway Services

Our Gateway Motorway Services (GMS) team of over 80 people includes 30 incident responders who support Transurban Queensland to maintain the 34km Gateway Motorway, 30km Logan Motorway and 88 associated bridges. In an Australian first, we have two motorcycles available to our response team during peak periods, so they can avoid congestion and get to incidents and scenes more quickly. The riders are equipped to offer motorists refuelling, battery charging, tyre change, first aid and general advice. Read more here.

Oil and gas drilling

Ventia's subsidiary Rig & Well services commissioned and delivered a customised deep exploration drilling rig for QGC in Queensland. The project involved drilling deep, unconventional exploration gas wells, so it faced many unknown factors, including reservoir pressure, ground consolidation and geological conditions. After in-depth research, we selected a custom-modified version of the NOV Prime Rig, which employs the latest technology to minimise safety hazards and increase mobility. High-tech rig controls and the latest operating software ensured maximum drilling capability and control for equipment operators.
