Description

Ventia is an integral partner of HNSW in providing public housing in Sydney, delivering essential Responsive and Programmed Maintenance services.

We’re a responsive provider that can scale up to meet HNSW’s needs now and in the future. 

We’re dedicated to ensuring public housing is safe, affordable, and sustainable for residents, often some of society’s most vulnerable people.

Scope of work

  • Property maintenance and repairs: Routine maintenance and urgent repairs to maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of HNSW properties. This involves regular inspections, pre-emptive and on-demand maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. 
  • Community engagement: Conducting programs and activities to foster a sense of community and belonging among tenants and create supportive and cohesive living environments. 
  • Sustainable practices: Supporting HNSW’s commitment to provide environmentally responsible housing solutions. We develop and implement programs to use eco-friendly materials and methods, reduce waste, and minimise environmental impact. Additionally, we reinforce the NSW Government’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by fostering a culturally diverse workplace, including programs to attract and train Indigenous employees.

  • Quality assurance and reporting: Compliance with contract deliverables based on data-driven outcomes and enhanced field work management functions helps ensure high quality outcomes for tenants and transparency and accountability for taxpayers. This underscores Ventia’s commitment to service excellence.

 

Project outcomes

  • Our focus on pre-emptive maintenance and fast response times saw tenants rate us Homes NSW’s top performing provider. This result was based on: 
  •             forward-looking property maintenance, with tenants noting a marked             improvement in their homes and a greater sense of security and well-being 
  •             improved response times for urgent repairs and more effective solutions             delivered 
  •             our experienced team who understand the complexities of social housing 
  • Proactive implementation of innovative sustainability practices, drawing positive feedback from Homes NSW
  • A greater sense of community among tenants as a result of community engagement activities
  • Greater business and employment opportunities for the community. Ventia’s focus on engaging and upskilling local businesses saw 3500 local people employed, including, 112 tenants*.
