Description

Since 2018, Ventia has delivered integrated facilities management across the City of Sydney’s 251 assets, aligning with the customer’s vision of a Green, Global, and Connected future. This diverse asset portfolio includes community centres, libraries, public buildings and more than 100 public art installations. 

We actively support the City's sustainability goals by using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient techniques. 

This approach helps the City reduce emissions, lower energy consumption, and achieve long-term resilience, aligning with the Sustainable Sydney 2030 goals of creating a low-carbon, resource-efficient city.

Ventia’s team collaborates with the City to improve asset management through enhanced lifecycle reporting and analysis methods that have boosted operational efficiency and sustainability.

Scope of work

  • Facilities management: Comprehensive hard and soft facilities management, including cleaning, maintenance, and asset management, across 251 public assets.
  • Practice improvement: Enhanced property and utilities management, increased efficiency and extended asset life through development and Implementation of a new Management Information System.
  • Sustainability focus: Maximising eco-friendly methods and materials to reduce environmental impact and support the City’s sustainability goals.

Scope of work

  • Operational efficiencies: The advanced Management Information System has led to Improved operational efficiency and extended the useful life of assets.
  • Enhanced sustainability: Emphasis on employing eco-friendly practices, materials and technology, including inventive use of emerging innovations, has reduced the City’s environmental footprint and increased its sustainability.
  • Community outcomes: A focus on recruiting local people where possible and engaging local sub-contractors and suppliers, including social and Indigenous enterprises, has led to an extremely diverse, inclusive and effective workforce and contributed significant community benefit.
