Hospitality and Catering Services
Ventia is Australia's largest provider of hospitality and catering services designed specifically to meet the diverse needs of Defence Bases across Australia. We take pride in serving those who serve our nation, preparing more than 3.4 million meals annually in the messes, grab-n-go and on the Ranges, as well as catering for special events such as dining-in nights, hundreds of ANZAC Day breakfasts, and exclusive dining experiences for international delegations and VIP visits.
In addition to our culinary services, we manage all essential aspects to create a comfortable "home away from home" for Defence members. This includes making up over 20,000 beds and maintaining impeccably clean and tidy rooms for over two million nights of sleep each year.
Food and sleep are essential ingredients for optimum performance. We take care of these essentials enabling Defence members to focus on the mission.

Defence Base Services (DBS)
Ventia is Australia’s largest and most diverse provider of Defence estate support services and facilities management. Across all states and territories, we deliver a range of estate, living, and base support capability including asset management and maintenance; ranges and training area management; airfield management; land management and environmental services; project management; firefighting and rescue services; hospitality and catering; domestic services; and transport services
Defence Maintenance (DMC)
Ventia is the Australian Defence Forces industry partner for the repair and maintenance of some of Australia’s newest, most unique equipment including artillery, small arms, instrument repair, night vision equipment and all armoured vehicles and variants. This often sees our teams deploy into the field alongside the ADF. We currently deliver approximately 900,000 maintenance hours annually and operate a 24/7 nationwide vehicle and equipment recovery service.
Clothing and Retail Stores
Ventia proudly delivers Clothing and Personal Equipment services including kitting and tailoring to the Australian Defence Force from 30+ Clothing and Retail Stores, located on Defence Bases, across Australia.
Specific service offerings include inventory management, issue and sale of Defence clothing items, combat uniforms and equipment; specialist kitting activities for training, exercises and operational requirements; standard and bespoke tailoring services; manufacture of name tags; court mounting of medals, miniatures and ribbon bars.
Support is also provided to Regional Forces when approved by the Australian Defence Force.
Maritime Services
Ventia’s Maritime heritage was established in warship construction, upgrade and sustainment, and submarine maintenance and support.
Land 8120
We are responsible for the procurement, systems engineering, V&V and integrated logistics support for 291 Engineer Support Platforms covering 13 different types of earth moving and material handling vehicles such as excavators, front end loaders, dozers, cranes and forklifts to the ADF.
This also includes technical documentation and delivery training sessions. The vehicles are commercial vehicles with modifications to meet specialist Defence requirements such as air transport, and are supplied with bespoke platforms for storing and transporting attachments.
We collaborate with vehicle OEMs (JCB, Manitou, Liebherr, Komatsu) and other specialists such as ECLIPS and engineering partner QinetiQ.
