Health & Safety
Our team's primary focus for all assets is always safety and health above all else. The cutting edge In Vehicle Management System (IVMS) installed across our fleet allows us to capture and evaluate the safe practices of our team of drivers, through effectively monitoring:
- Vehicle utilisation, including usage and idling time
- Vehicle speed and driving incidents
- Vehicle age and odometer readings, in accordance with our asset life cycle plan
Our IVMS driver leaderboard also allows our drivers to compare their safe driving practices to their peers, and incentivises continuous improvement in driving behaviour.
Additionally, our team ensures all assets are compliant with Australian and New Zealand standards, including a mandatory 5 Star ANCAP rating on all new light vehicles.
Sustainability
Our Plant team plays a pivotal role in spearheading Ventia's sustainability strategy by leading our transition towards a fully hybrid/alternately fuelled light fleet by 2030. After making significant strides in recent years towards this goal, we now proudly boast:
- A vast fleet of alternate fuelled light vehicles, including fully electric SUVs and hydrogen-powered vehicles
- A growing fleet of alternate fuelled trucks and equipment, including fully electric lawn mowers and hybrid excavators
- Continued trials of new innovations in energy efficient technology to best support our fleet transition
