The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) gender pay gap is an important measure and annual publication driven by the Australian Government.
In March 2023, Ventia provided a single submission to WGEA covering all employing entities, which represents multiple industries.
Women currently represent 32.7% of our Australian workforce. We recently achieved our HESTA 40:40 commitment at Executive level and remain committed to achieving this target across all levels of leadership in our business.
Ventia’s gender pay gap is influenced by the higher number of men in our workforce, the range and types of work we perform and the multiple industries we serve, which tend to be more male dominated. Ventia already has several programs of work underway to bridge the remuneration gap.
