Ventia announced today it had been named as the preferred supplier by Auckland Council for a major contract to deliver full facilities maintenance, management services and sports field renovations.
The contract is for five years with five, one-year options, and will involve the maintenance of the Council's assets which include parks, administration buildings and community facilities such as libraries, community halls, pools and public toilets, as well as sports fields renovations in TAHI (the northern region) and WHA (the eastern region).
Ventia will use its technology-enabled asset management expertise combined with a direct labour force and selected subcontractors, to deliver the services in alignment with Council's strategic objectives.
Ventia Chief Executive Mike Metcalfe said that being named the preferred supplier for this major contract in New Zealand illustrated our growing reputation in facilities management and that Ventia was well positioned to deliver an excellent outcome for the client.
"We are pleased to have been named the preferred supplier and have commenced the mobilisation process. We look forward to finalising the legal agreement and partnering with the Council to ensure a smooth transition for all involved and delivering exceptional standards of asset management for the Auckland community."
The formal awarding of this legal contract is expected to occur at the end of April once final documentation is completed, at which time we will be able to confirm the value of the contracts.
