Ventia has extended a contract with the Government of Western Australia to continue providing court security and custodial services.
Commencing in March 2023, the contract is valued at approximately $229 million over four years. A further optional five-year extension remains.
Group Executive Defence & Social Infrastructure Derek Osborn said the Government of Western Australia has been a valued client for the past six years.
"Ventia brings a client-focused, innovative and sustainable approach to essential infrastructure services," Mr Osborn says.
The unique and dynamic challenges involved in a contract like this requires an operator that is able to balance security and welfare in complex operating environments.
"We've proven to date that we can deliver these services with a culture of care."
Ventia helps Government and Corrections Departments create safer communities and reduce recidivism by providing justice services with a welfare-led approach.
