Ventia has been awarded contract extensions by Yarra Valley Water to continue delivery of preventative and emergency maintenance across its water network.

The contract extensions include a two-year extension to the north and south civil maintenance contracts and a one-year extension to the mechanical and electrical maintenance contract. The extensions were provided for in the original contract subject to performance.

The base value of the extensions is in excess of $100 million across the two years.

Ventia first commenced work for Yarra Valley Water in 2015. In 2021, Ventia received a three-year extension. The newly extended contracts awarded today will run from 2024.

Yarra Valley Water is the largest of Melbourne's three retail water businesses and provides water supply and sanitation services to over 2 million people who live and work in the northern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

"They've proven themselves to be a strong partner with high standards of service delivery, customer service and products," said Mr McCafferty.
