You're warm in bed, work done for the week, but what's that sound? Why it's a call to action!
Ventia's Queensland Transport South Coast (QTSC) team redefined service excellence when they took up this call, going above and beyond their roles when tackling the challenges during and in the aftermath of the flooding event across Queensland.
When the disaster hit, Ventia immediately deployed a team to support our client The Department of Transport and Main Roads in-house incident response provider. Always putting safety and health above all else, the team mustered first at the project depot with a pre-start focusing on the specific risks and hazards they may face from the floods and continued extreme weather.
For two weeks the team worked in shifts to provide support 24/7 to ensure more than 3,000 lane kilometres across the south coast road network was made safe for all road users, and for those attending to the inevitable clean up and repair work now underway.
David McPadden, interim Group Executive Transport says, "The team really rallied together during this crisis, keeping themselves and their communities safe.'
They are a shining example of what true stewardship and service excellence looks like.

We extend a huge thank you to our QTSC team for stepping up and ensuring our communities remain safe and can keep moving safely on the roads during a time of disaster.
As the clean-up and recovery continues, our teams across both Queensland and New South Wales continue to support our communities in this time of need.
