Ventia's Telecommunications business (through its Visionstream subsidiary) is today announcing another new contract with NBN Co. The new agreement will see us partner with NBN Co to deliver fixed wireless services to regional Australians.

Under the two-year agreement we will deliver design and construction services to NBN Co on the fixed wireless network across the eastern seaboard.

The fixed wireless network provides high-speed broadband access and increases retail competition in regional and rural communities across the country. Ventia is one of three delivery partners who will work directly with NBN Co to deliver this work.

Our team has a long and proud history of delivering fixed wireless projects across all of Australia and its many regional and isolated communities. Our geographically dispersed workforce is focused on delivering for our clients, and takes pride in bringing essential information, communication and technology services to residents and business across the country - no matter how remote they may be.

"Our extensive knowledge and IP of the fixed wireless rollout to date puts us in a great position to deliver on this project as we have been doing this work now for nine years," said John Bennett General Manager Wireless Networks for Ventia.

"This is a continuation of the work we have been doing and will be part of the expansion and upgrade of the existing nbn infrastructure, including new site builds."

Both this Fixed Wireless Services contract, and the N2P Evolution contract announced in July, will see Ventia providing build services across the nbn network. With a focus on service excellence and being innovative and sustainable, Ventia is also delivering field operations, maintenance and optimization services to the network under its Unify Networks and Unify Services contracts with NBN Co as well as multiple other design and build programs under its Master Agreement.

Work commenced on the Fixed Wireless project in July 2021.
