Our extensive experience in delivering road maintenance services across New Zealand, and particularly on the North Island, has resulted in the award of the road maintenance contract with Hauraki District Council.
The contract covers a network of 506km of sealed roads, 114km of unsealed roads, and 163 bridges and major culverts. Ventia's job is ensuring a safe and functional roading network that is well-maintained in a cost-effective manner.
Experience and commitment to excellence
Victor Hensley, GM Operations Transport - NZ, says that experience, combined with the team's commitment to excellence in operations and customer service, were the key factors in securing this contract.
"I am so proud of the work our team does," Vic says. "And it's not just 'business as usual' activity, when you consider the recent and ongoing rain and flooding across much of the North Island and the additional work this has caused."
Our people are doing extraordinary things to keep essential infrastructure operational for our clients and communities.
A milestone
The five-year contract, with an extension option of two years, expands Ventia's footprint on the North Island.
"This is another milestone for us in New Zealand which reflects the confidence that our clients have in Ventia's ability to deliver quality services," says Vic.
The contract is mobilising now and go live on 1st July, 2023.
