Melanie Evans joins the Executive Leadership Team as Group Executive - Digital Services.  

Melanie will leverage her executive level experience across IT, business transformation and marketing to drive Ventia's technology strategy with its focus on improving client outcomes. 

She joins us from KPMG where she was most recently Partner In Charge, Connected Technology Group and Head of Technology, Audit, Assurance & Risk Consulting. 

Prior to this, she held senior IT, business transformation, marketing and product roles over a successful 10-year career at Telstra. 

CEO Dean Banks said Melanie's distinctive skillset and IT approach - underpinned by her cross-disciplinary credentials and experience leading change within complex organisations - would impel Ventia's client-focused technology journey. 

"A business-driven technology leader, Melanie brings deep knowledge and experience from large matrix companies, and is adept at bringing people, process, data, governance and technology together to deliver successful outcomes," Dean said. 

Her strong client and service mindset align well to our strategy, as we look to bring the best of Digital Services to our people and clients. 

Melanie said she brought energy, direction, and drive to critical business functions with a consistent focus on value. 

"My marketing background, strong client and service mindset, and problem-solving skills gained from 'Big Four' consultancy allows me to look at technology from a different perspective," she said.

Melanie has managed large teams across multiple business units and geographies to deliver strategic outcomes. 

"I enjoy the challenges of developing the purpose and vision, building the strategy, then delivering the results," she said.

This is important not just to build high-performing teams but facilitating a work environment that creates opportunities and builds trust and loyalty.

Melanie has significant executive leadership and Board experience, having served for three years as a non-executive director for the not-for-profit Royal Hospital for Women Foundation, Sydney. 

She holds a Bachelor of Business - Marketing from CQ University, and a Masters of Marketing and Certificate in Executive Management and Development from UNSW.   

She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
