Ventia has commenced planning and preparatory works under its contract with Arrow Energy for the construction of the David Inlet Processing Facility (IPF) in Queensland's Surat Basin.
This IPF project is part of the Phase 1 scope of Arrow's Surat Gas Project (SGP) in southern Queensland. The David IPF project will enable Arrow to supply gas into QGC's David Field Compression Station. The project is supporting Arrow to use capacity of existing QGC-operated infrastructure to reduce its impacts on landholders and communities.
Ventia was awarded the contract for the greenfield construction of the new IPF in April and will mobilise to site this month, being responsible for all IPF project execution. This includes construction, procurement and pre-commissioning activities and support of site commissioning.
This project relies on us leveraging our strong operational footprint in, and understanding of, the Surat Basin region.
'We are looking forward to working with other suppliers within the region, as supporting regional economies is important to us', said Caroline Rowland from Ventia's Resources and Industrial business.
Works will run through to the end of the year.
