The BlueScope Steel plant


Ventia has renewed its contract with BlueScope for maintenance services with the addition of fire services at BlueScope's Port Kembla Steel Works in the Illawarra region of New South Wales. 

For more than 20 years, Ventia has had a longstanding presence in the region and with BlueScope, providing plant maintenance, engineering and project services and a skilled workforce for numerous BlueScope projects, as well as fabrication facilities.

BlueScope's General Manager Manufacturing, David Scott said: 'Ventia is a local company that supports BlueScope's long-term sustainability goals and shares our commitments to responsible sourcing and business practices."

We have partnered with Ventia over many years to leverage Ventia's national capability and bring the best of Ventia to BlueScope particularly technology and implement initiatives that are focused on safety, efficiency and sustainability, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Ventia.

"Ventia is a leading Australian and New Zealand company with a local focus, supporting upwards of 350 locally employed full-time roles on the BlueScope contract during typical operations and up to 600 roles for outages and shutdown operations."
