A new 10-year contract in our Critical Infrastructure business, commencing 31 January, is providing job opportunities in regional NSW.

The team under the leadership of General Manager Critical Infrastructure, Warren Farrow and our Property Lead Contract Manager, Terry Donald has partnered with UGL on the Transport for NSW (TfNSW) Country Regional Network (CRN) Contract.

Under the contract the team - based in Orange, NSW - will manage and provide planned and corrective maintenance for property assets across 184 locations statewide.

Warren says the team of 18 staff are based out of the UGL Regional Linx Kite Street office at Orange in regional NSW.

The portfolio covers over 27,000ha of land including 1,200 property assets such as stations.

"Interestingly, of these assets 356 are heritage listed," Warren says.

The team will manage over 2,000 leases on behalf of TfNSW and will also manage Planned Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance for these assets, as well as undertaking project works.

As a resident in the region, Strategic Manager for Mobilisation and Contractual Compliance, Gary Dring says now the contract is mobilised, it's exciting to see the Ventia brand popping up in his hometown.

"This is an important contract for Ventia and for our client and I'm looking forward to playing a role in ensuring we deliver on our commitments and provide service excellence to TfNSW, as we do on our other contracts with them," says Gary.
