Fifty-five community groups across Australia and New Zealand are receiving $100,000 in funding from Ventia’s latest round of community grants.
The $2,000 grants help community groups deliver essential social services that provide lasting benefits to our communities. Since 2011, we have supported 428 community groups with more than $728,890 of grant funding.
Some of the enrichment activities being delivered with this year’s funding, include music therapy for elderly people, learn to swim classes, coaching clinics, training courses, mentoring programs, edible gardening projects, language lessons, remote trauma courses, breakfast club and a community movie night.
There are also many items that will be purchased by groups to continue their positive impact in our communities, including a trailer, paddles & life jackets, horse saddles, playing uniforms, new tyres, sports gear, a rescue mannequin, outdoor play equipment, gardening supplies, remote laundries and football goal posts.
