International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
This year's theme, 'Balance for Better' acknowledges gender-balance and diverse teams "drives a better working world."
At Ventia we embrace diversity as we know it's key to the success of any team.
As one of Australia and New Zealand's largest infrastructure services providers, we are proud to work across diverse communities, projects and industries, but ultimately at the heart of our success is the diversity of our people.
Given we have some extraordinary people across the business who help make us who we are throughout the week we celebrated just some of those people.
"Our diverse people are the essence of who we are and as the Balance for Better campaign notes - balance drives a better working world", said Mark Norton, Chair of our Gender Diversity Working Group.
"Ventia is committed to developing a positive and collaborative working environment for our people. We encourage diversity within each of our teams ensuring we bring new ideas and perspectives into the organisation. This in turn helps us to deliver the great results our clients expect from us."
