Local employees in the Illawarra region are excited about Ventia's new agreements to support the Port Kembla Surf Lifesaving Club and Port Kembla Soccer Club this year, with many of our people and their families involved with each of these clubs. 

Ventia has provided industrial services in the Illawarra region for more than 20 years, specifically for BlueScope's Steelworks, Port Kembla Coal Terminal, and other industrial projects in the region. Employing more than 250 locals to support work in the region, Ventia is responsible for general maintenance services, shutdown/ turnarounds, through to construction projects, rail infrastructure maintenance and fire system maintenance and development. 

Our leadership team are home-grown Illawarra residents, and all have a passion for the local region. 

"Community sports clubs are extremely important for the development, engagement and even the mental health of our communities. Many of our team are directly engaged with or have family members throughout sporting clubs in the Illawarra," said Ventia's Operations Director Sam Boardman. 

Being part of these clubs is important to us to ensure we are giving back and supporting the community that supports us.
