Team Ventia at the Special Children's Christmas Party

Employees from across Auckland joined a very special event, as Ventia once again sponsored the Special Childrens Christmas Party.

Held at the Trusts Arena in Henderson, employees joined over 2000 children and their families at the event which included activities, entertainment and the ever-popular Santa’s Cave.

Ventia was a platinum sponsor of the event this year, and we are proud to play a part in helping NZME and Sky TV put on an event that brings so much joy.

Coordinator of our participation Acacia Dawn Cochise says being involved in this event is the highlight of her year.

I really love that we get to support such an amazing event. Giving back to the communities in which we operate and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces is so fulfilling

Executive General Manager for New Zealand Damian Pedreschi headed to the event and says you could feel the joy and excitement in the room.

“Our Ventia Team delivers for our community every day in the work we do,” Damian says. “This year we have worked even harder to make a difference in our communities, with the successful launch of our Ventia Community Grants Program and our support of many charities and events across the motu.”

But nothing beats being able to support the New Zealand Special Children’s Party to bring some joy to thousands of children who have had to face significant challenges and deserve nothing more than a day that brings a smile to their faces.

Laura Stokes from the Brand, Marketing Communications team also went along on the day and says she, and her kids, had a blast.

“I was really pleased to be able to take my kids along to the event, to show them the way communities can come together to create special moments for those who need it most,” she says.

Every year in New Zealand, nearly 10,000 Kiwi children with special needs, challenging life or health circumstances are invited along to one of the parties held in locations across the country.

These parties make a huge difference, allowing kids to be kids and have a blast.

Thanks to all our people in NZ that went along and supported the event.
