Bernard Fan, an engineer in our ICD engineering consulting subsidiary

Employees like Bernard Fan, an engineer in our ICD engineering consulting subsidiary, are already benefiting from Ventia's partnership with Engineers Australia which provides our engineering professionals with globally recognised Chartered credentials through the Engineering Workforce Credentialing program.

The credentials are based on internationally recognised engineering education and competency standards, meaning the Engineers Australia Chartered credential is recognised in Australia and overseas.

Gaining Chartered status involves proving and maintaining competency in a number of areas across personal commitment, obligation to the community, value in the workplace and technical proficiency.

The Chartered credential can be earned across 27 areas of engineering practice and includes assessment for registration on the National Engineering Register.

David McPadden, Group Executive - Transport and Executive sponsor of the program, says that 40 engineers across Ventia have already taken up this opportunity, and it was great to see Bernard Fan as the first to become certified.

"This partnership demonstrates Ventia's ongoing investment in our engineering professionals and their career development, while also ensuring Ventia continues to provide clients with access to world-leading engineering competency," David says.

The Engineering Workforce Credentialling program will help Ventia build the most highly skilled and credentialled engineering workforce in the industry.

The program kicked off in April with an initial cohort of 40 selected engineers. In addition to Bernard, we're also pleased to have Bharat Sharma, Min Yang and Qiongxiao Wu recently achieve accreditation.

Additional intakes will follow shortly.
