Recently, Multinet Gas presented one of our key contractors, Pressure Tested Plumbing (PTP), with the 2019 CEO & Chairman HSE Award.
This prestigious award recognises the outstanding attitude and practices of the PTP team when it comes to safety while working on Ventia projects.
Upon acceptance of the award the owner of PTP, Dan Bamblett-Furner said this award win is due to a team effort, noting "my team put up with me being quite over the top when it comes to safety!"
Multinet Gas Chairman Peter Lowe, CEO Ben Wilson and GM Network Operations Mark Beech attended the presentation and emphasised the importance of safety for their customers and the public, as well as the employees who are delivering the work.
Ventia Chairman David Moffatt, congratulating PTP for their gold standard of safe work for Ventia, said:
A rigorous approach to safety is the path to successful business. The high standards we are setting now will be the baseline in the future."
Multinet Gas, which is part of the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group, and Ventia are strongly aligned on values, with respect, teamwork, performance and trust being integral to the way we deliver safe outcomes for our client, their customers and the community.
Dan, who has been contracting for Ventia and growing his business, PTP, steadily over the past 18 months, acknowledges that balancing safety and the time to complete a job profitably is a challenge for all businesses, but it is imperative that safety comes first every time. "At the end of the day, the most important thing is my team gets home safely,' he said.
