The diversity of Ventia’s workforce is an incredible source of innovation and creativity.

We’re proud of our talented and engaged women who represent decades of experience across a myriad of roles, background and experience.

As part of our commitment to growing our female talent from within, our women are provided pathways into leadership roles across the business including operational and technical support leadership.

Ventia’s Frontline Leaders, Essential Leadership and BEST Leaders programs are a significant investment in our emerging leaders across the enterprise and women are well represented across these programs.

Ventia’s flagship program Women Leading is deepening the leadership capability of our workforce by building heighted personal and professional self-awareness to broaden positive impacts across the organisation.

Through a series of workshops, surveys, guest speakers and specially designed coaching sessions, women in our workforce discover the importance of working from their unique strengths, the value of career planning and the power of networking and connecting.

The positive feedback from our latest cohort of Women Leading participants tells us we’re on the right path with the program.

Career development, networking and connecting.

Lead, thrive, influence, negotiate and navigate.

On reflection of the success of the program so far, Rachel Dodds, General Manager Organisational Effectiveness said she was proud of the impact the program has had for so many women at Ventia.

"Since 2021, more than 120 women have taken a critical look at their career, leadership style and unique strengths through this program, and become better leaders as a result of it," says Rachel.

“We are committed to increasing the number of women at Ventia in senior leadership roles to 40% by 2030, and our talent pipeline, learning and development opportunities, like Women Leading, and policies and procedures provide the foundations to ensure that we retain, develop and attract more women in our organisation.”
