We celebrate and embrace diversity across our business and are thrilled when our team members are recognised for their efforts.
Danielle Bailey, a Trainee Driller for our Rig and Well Services business, has been recognised for her contribution to the industry by being awarded the inaugural Australian Drilling Industry Association Woman of the Year Award.
This award is open to any woman who is directly involved in field operations such as an offsider, driller, fitter or other similar role. The judges look for someone who is a stand-out role model for other women considering entering the industry.
Danielle has been offsiding on a rig for 18 months and in this time has achieved her HR license, telehandler accreditation and earned her Certificate II in Drilling Operations.
Luke Pember, Rig and Well Services' Operations Manager West said Danielle is a great team member and has worked extremely hard to be a role model for women in the industry.
"Danielle joined our team as an Offsider two years ago and has added a lot of value to our team in the field."
We are very proud of Danielle's achievements and the mentorship she provides to other young women in field roles.
In addition to recognition as Woman of the Year, Danielle also receives a full delegate pass to the 2021 ADIA DRILL conference plus airfares and 3 night's accommodation to continue to share her story as a woman in the drilling industry.
Read more about Danielle's achievements in the Australasian Drilling Magazine (p26-27).
