Earlier this month, a team of 10 Ventia Boral Amey Joint Venture Sydney employees participated in a World Environment Day Tree Planting Challenge.
Braving the wet weather at Sir Joseph Banks Park in Botany, Sydney, the team did an awesome job of planting 300 saplings and came second place in the competition organised by Conservation Volunteers Australia. They were judged on quality and consistency of planting.
The northern Botany Bay area is a significant natural habitat for native flora and fauna species. The 300 new saplings will contribute to the restoration of endangered ecological communities including the Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub.
Well done team!
