This week is National Reconciliation Week. This is a time to learn more about the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people and communities.
In support of National Reconciliation Week, we asked Harry Thorne, Ventia's Aboriginal Business Partner (pictured above) working within our Transport business in WA about his experiences.
Teams across Ventia recognised National Reconciliation Week in different ways.
In Perth, our team members joined the 2018 Walk for Reconciliation around Elizabeth Quay.
The walk was a chance to learn and celebrate the culture and contribution of the local Noongar people and reflect on the week's theme: "Don't Keep History a Mystery."
Leading our team was Harry who is a a proud Noongar man from Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the South West region of Western Australia.
