Arjun Narang from our Vianet business and Ryan Bickerton from our Aqua-Pipe business recently presented at the Institute of Water Administration Technical Services Special Interest Group (IWA SIG).

IWA provides a forum for sharing information, networking and professional development for professionals in the Victorian water industry.

Our presenters shared details about how we are using technology to renew, monitor and maximise performance of our water clients' assets. 

Arjun described the capabilities of the Low Power, Wide Area Network (LPWAN) technology being used for Coliban Water's digital metering upgrade project and the potential for the broader application of these technologies in the water industry. He shared examples of how we are using LPWAN technologies to solve our client's business problems, including our fixed network Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) solution that gathers water consumption data which can then be aggregated to provide information on water flows through the pipe network.
 
Ryan provided an update on how Aqua-Pipe, our fully structural, trenchless water main rehabilitation lining technology, provides a practical solution for replacing and renewing asbestos cement water mains.
