Our clients rely on us to manage their complex road and transport networks in safe, reliable ways within metropolitan, regional and rural communities.

We currently deliver long-term road network maintenance contracts to authorities in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. Through these arrangements, we maintain more than 3,500 road km of high speed and urban road network and 5,900 road km of rural road network.

Our services include maintaining roads and highways for both passenger and heavy vehicle transport, development and construction services, network operations, operational asset management, maintenance management and delivery, and minor capital works. Our team also supports the community by getting road and transport networks working quickly following major incidents or natural disasters.

We work in partnership with our clients for all maintenance programs, ensuring we minimise disruption to the public, and keep our people and the community safe, all in compliance with maintenance best practices.

Motorways & tunnels

For our motorways and tunnel clients, we provide asset maintenance for pavements, structures, mechanical ventilation, fire maintenance systems, as well as facilities management services, including cleaning.

We have particular expertise in shutdown maintenance. For example, Ventia has successfully incorporated pavement rehabilitation works within the existing closure regime, avoiding the need for additional closures.

For Sydney's Eastern Distributor (ED) and Cross City Tunnel (CCT) we provide routine, preventative, corrective, and condition monitoring, and manage urgent works. Working in partnership with our client Transurban, we are responsible for all planning and scheduling activities, with all works strictly programmed by our team using our client's asset management system. We program quarterly tunnel closures for both roads so that we can carry out major maintenance and testing activities. We are also responsible for supervision of works.

For the M5 East Motorway we provide routine asset maintenance, with corrective and urgent repair works managed efficiently and, wherever possible, with minimal disruption to commuters.

Road network maintenance

Our road network maintenance services include incident response, routine maintenance, programmed maintenance activities along with natural disaster preparedness and recovery services.

In a joint venture with Boral Resources and Amey (Ventia Boral Amey JV), we provide routine and programmed maintenance services across the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) South Coast road network stretching from the South of Brisbane's metro district (Logan) to the New South Wales border, and from the Gold Coast coastal strip to the Great Dividing Range in the Scenic Rim council region.

In NSW, we maintain 670 kilometres of roads, 201 bridges and eight tunnels as part of NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS)  Sydney South road network with the Ventia Boral Amey JV.

In WA, our team, in collaboration with Main Roads, has been successfully delivering improvement and maintenance works for more than five years on the Pilbara Integrated Service Arrangement. The project maintains 2,191km of main roads and highways for heavy vehicle transport across the Pilbara, from Kumarina in the south central to Port Hedland, and from Pannawonica (south coastal) to Sandfire (north coastal) and Rippon Hills in the east. The scope of work includes network operations, operational asset management, maintenance management and delivery, and capital works.

Similarly, through our Ventia/Opus Joint Venture, we manage the Wheatbelt Integrated Services Arrangement. The Wheatbelt region contains 3,080km of national and State highways and main roads including sections of Great Northern and Great Eastern Highways. The scope of work covers network operations, operational asset management, maintenance management and minor capital works.
